Beach Worship.jpg

Sneads Ferry Presbyterian will hold the first of three Beach Worship Services this Sunday, June 30, from 8-8:30 AM. Join us on the beach to praise God amidst a small part of the splendor He created. The service will be at Beach Access #2, which is about 4 miles south of the Hwy 210 high-rise bridge, towards Surf City. Look for the large parking area on left (beachside). This short service will feature scripture, music, and a homily with Rev Bill Young presiding. Come as you are with coffee and a comfy chair!

Swing by our Facebook page, Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church, click here, find the event there near the top, and click to let us know you are interested - thanks!

No worries if you cannot make the Beach Service. Our normal worship will still occur at the church at 10 AM, just like always.

Have a great weekend!

The Prepared Caregiver Seminars

If you have a loved one who is in need of care or may need care in the future, this seminar may be for you!

The Prepared Caregiver March 14, 2018 at 2 pm April 12, 2018 at 7 pm Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church Pastoral Care Ministry will provide an educational workshop to prepare future caregivers for the myriad of responsibilities involved in the caregiving role and provide options that may help them fulfil those responsibilities more effectively while protecting their own emotional, physical and financial well-being.   According to a study by the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP, approximately 43.5 million caregivers provided unpaid care to an adult or child over the previous year. About 34.2 million cared for an adult age 50 or older. Because many individuals new to the caregiving role feel ill-equipped, we want to provide insights and resources to empower attendees to rise to challenges they may one day encounter.  Topics we will discuss will include preparing necessary medical records, financial and identity theft, and caregiver services available within our community.  You may sign up on the Pastoral Care bulletin board or email Marianne Carter at carter.mep@gmail.com .   This workshop is  free and open to anyone in the community.

Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup Another Success

Our trash pickup on Oct 28, 2017 on Highway 210 right in front of the church, extending from Four Corners up to the entrance to MARSOC at Stones Bay was another big  success.   Decked out in spiffy new vests, and armed with new and better grabbers, Marine and church volunteers collected 33 large bags of trash to help ensure that our community looks great to all the visitors who come down Hwy 210 into The Ferry.   Thanks to all who helped out, see you again in March 2018
