Even in the midst of grief and loss, we are reminded that true joy is found in community—walking alongside one another in love, faith, and solidarity. Through life’s hardest moments, God continues to work, bringing transformation, unity, and hope.

Resurrection is both the promise of life after death and the daily renewal we experience through Christ. It is rising from the burdens of sin and brokenness into healing, hope, and purpose. As we journey through life, God continues to restore us, helping us stand, grow, and find strength even in pain.

During Lent, Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church marks the 40-day journey to the cross with a Lenten “wreath.” Unlike Advent, where light increases, each week a candle is extinguished, symbolizing the growing shadow leading to Good Friday. Crafted by retired PC(USA) pastor Joe Dorociak, the 33-inch base holds six purple candles and one white Christ candle, reminding us of repentance, holiness, and the hope of Easter morning.
