Called!
I am excited to continue serving as your pastor. My role has moved from Transitional Pastor to Stated Supply Pastor through a 3-year contract with Sneads Ferry Presbyterian, renewable with Presbytery approval. Pastors are “called,” not hired, through discernment of God, leadership, and congregation. My vision remains: Listening, Learning, and Linking to God and Neighbor, fulfilling the Great Commission undergirded by the Great Commandment.

Water, Water Everywhere!
Coleridge’s line “Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink” illustrates the irony of being surrounded by undrinkable water. Similarly, the Bible presents water as a symbol of both life and destruction, cleansing and chaos. It reflects God’s power, provision, and the Holy Spirit. As believers, we’re called to be like watered gardens—sources of life and renewal—allowing God’s presence to bless others through us.

All The Breaks?
Some seem to get all the breaks—but even Abraham Lincoln faced great loss and failure before leading a nation. Jesus and His disciples didn’t get easy lives, yet they changed the world. True blessing isn’t found in ease, but in God’s presence, guidance, and peace. In Christ, we have all the breaks we need. So even in life’s heat, keep going, be encouraged, and share His peace with others.

As We Go
As we go this June—to church, camps, vacations—may God loosen our tongues to tell His story. Like Caedmon prayed, “I cannot speak unless You loose my tongue.” Jesus came in humility, spoke truth, and brought life. Now we are called to carry that story into a weary world. May God open our mouths to share His love and wonders wherever we go.
